Cochin International Airport Ltd (CIAL) is gearing up to unveil seven major projects worth 1,000 crore aimed at infrastructure enhancement, security enhancement, and improving passenger mobility on October 2.
Justification
The fourth-busiest Airport in the country in terms of International Traffic, CIAL is focused on the launCIAL to unveil seven mega projects for infra developmentch of the following projects-
A new import cargo terminal, implementation of the DigiYatra software developed by CIAL, modernization of airport emergency service, phase-1 expansion of international terminal (T-3), the golf tourism project, Aero Lounges & the Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS).
Pinarayi Vijayan, CM of Kerala, will inaugurate the projects at a function on the cargo terminal premises.
The launch envisions endorsing CIAL’s new vision of infrastructural development, ‘Flying into Tomorrow.’
In FY23, it achieved its highest turnover at Rs 770.91 Cr and a profit of Rs 265.08 Cr. Through a Rights Issue, it raised Rs 478.22 Cr, with the Kerala Government holding 33.38%. A 35% dividend for 2022–23, totaling Rs 167.38 Cr, was also approved for shareholders.
