Cochin International Airport (CIAL) recorded 2.2% YoY growth in passenger traffic in FY26, handling a total of 1,14,42,583 passengers, crossing the 10 million passenger milestone for the fourth consecutive year.
The airport managed this growth despite operational disruptions at airlines and geopolitical tensions in West Asia, reflecting resilience in travel demand and airport operations.
International passenger traffic stood at 54,01,939, while domestic traffic reached 60,40,644, indicating balanced growth across both segments.
CIAL recorded a total of 73,134 aircraft movements, including 31,505 international and 41,629 domestic movements, highlighting sustained airline activity throughout the year.
May 2025 emerged as the airport’s busiest month, with total passenger traffic crossing 11 lakh passengers in a single month.
The airport attributed its steady growth to strong operational capability and its ability to efficiently manage rising traffic volumes across seasons, reinforcing CIAL’s position as one of India’s leading non-metro airports.
