Justification
Reliance Retail, the Retail giant led by Isha Ambani, with 18k outlets to take 51% of Ed-a-Mamma, owned by Indian actress Alia Bhatt.
Retail last month raised $1 billion from Qatar Investment Authority at a $100 billion valuation last month and is in talks with global investors to raise around $2.5 billion more by the end of September.
The company has tie-ups ranging from domestic brand labels such as Ritu Kumar, Manish Malhotra to foreign brands such as Armani & Marks & Spencer.
Reliance Retail by acquiring Ed-a-Mamma is trying to increase its market share along with rapid growth & expansion in the retail segment.
The increased market share might lead to surge in revenue, profitability and operations of the company.
