InSolare Energy Limited, in partnership with SCC Infrastructure, has signed a Green Ammonia Purchase Agreement (GAPA) with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the supply of 85,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of green ammonia, marking a significant milestone in India’s clean energy transition.
The agreement is valued at approximately ₹3,700 crore (~USD 398 million) over its tenure, providing long-term revenue visibility and supporting project bankability for large-scale green ammonia production.
The project falls under the National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) and SECI’s SIGHT scheme, with InSolare responsible for developing and operating renewable-powered infrastructure to produce green hydrogen and convert it into ammonia for industrial use.
The long-term offtake arrangement ensures assured demand for green ammonia, which is expected to play a key role in decarbonising sectors such as fertilisers, refining, and industrial fuels, while accelerating investments in integrated green energy ecosystems.
