Kineco Aerospace has entered into a strategic partnership with Japan's SkyDrive to develop and manufacture high-performance composite aerostructures for the SKYDRIVE (SD-05) eVTOL aircraft, marking Kineco's entry into the electric flying taxi segment.
Under the agreement, Kineco will handle tool design, prototype development, certification support, and serial production readiness, supporting SkyDrive's transition from prototype to commercial production.
Production will leverage Kineco's advanced aerospace manufacturing facility in Goa, including one of India's largest aerospace composite autoclaves, strengthening the country's role in the global aerospace supply chain.
The collaboration represents Kineco's first dedicated eVTOL programme and expands its presence in the rapidly growing Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry, alongside its existing aerospace and defence businesses.
SkyDrive aims to begin commercial operations by 2028, making Kineco a key manufacturing partner in a next-generation aviation platform with long-term global growth potential.
