NSE to introduce extended trading hours for equity derivatives such as futures and options (F&O)
The global giant National Stock Exchange (NSE) is mulling over extending evening trading hours early this year from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the possibility of further extension until 11:30 PM for futures and options trading.
The proposal has already been submitted to SEBI & SEBI has already laid out a set of rules that will facilitate the bourses' decision to keep futures and options (F&O) trading open until 11:55 PM and shares until 5:00 PM.
The move is being made, giving Indian traders to react quickly to global events & growing concerns over big traders shifting to 24*7 trading in GIFT City.
The extended hours are likely to increase the trading volume of NSE, with NSE making the move through F&O, including Nifty and Bank Nifty & later with stock derivatives.
