NSE has received SEBI approval to launch futures and options contracts on the Nifty India FPI 150 Index, with trading scheduled to begin on 12 August 2026. The move expands NSE's equity derivatives product suite.
The Nifty India FPI 150 Index tracks the top 150 Indian companies with high foreign portfolio investor (FPI) participation and liquidity, offering investors a dedicated benchmark to hedge or gain exposure to stocks favoured by foreign investors.
NSE will introduce three serial monthly futures and options contracts, providing institutional and retail participants with additional tools for hedging, portfolio diversification, and risk management.
The approval aligns with NSE's strategy of broadening its derivatives ecosystem and developing innovative products as India's capital markets continue to deepen and attract higher domestic and foreign participation.
The product launch comes ahead of NSE's much-awaited IPO and further reinforces the exchange's focus on product innovation, strengthening its position as India's leading derivatives marketplace.
