SBI Funds Management made a strong stock market debut, listing at ₹613.30 on NSE and ₹610 on BSE, representing a 6–7% premium over its IPO price of ₹574 per share.
Following the listing, the company achieved a market valuation of over ₹1.27 lakh crore, making it India's second-most valuable listed asset management company after ICICI Prudential AMC.
The ₹8,800 crore ($1.03 billion) IPO, India's largest of 2026, received robust institutional interest from global investors including BlackRock and sovereign wealth funds, highlighting strong confidence in India's asset management sector.
As India's largest mutual fund house, with ₹12.5 lakh crore in AUM and an extensive retail distribution network, SBI Funds is well positioned to benefit from the country's rising financialisation and growing mutual fund penetration.
The successful listing is expected to improve sentiment for the Indian IPO market and could provide momentum for upcoming large public offerings, including those from other prominent unlisted companies.
