Spray Engineering Devices Ltd (SED) has secured a contract from Gradiant India Pvt Ltd to deploy a 340 KLD (kilolitres per day) Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system at a large solar PV manufacturing facility in Gujarat.
The system will use SED’s Low-Temperature Evaporation (LTE®) technology, enabling up to 94% volumetric water recovery and ~78% mass recovery, ensuring near-complete recycling of industrial wastewater.
The ZLD solution ensures no liquid waste discharge, allowing the plant to reuse treated water across operations while generating high-quality water with TDS below 250 ppm.
The project is particularly relevant for water-stressed regions like Gujarat, where industrial water usage is under scrutiny, and aligns with tightening environmental norms mandating ZLD for large-scale manufacturing.
SED will execute the project on a turnkey basis (design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning), strengthening its position in sustainable industrial solutions for the renewable energy supply chain.
