Justification
Sterlite received a Letter of Intent from REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd to build the project on BOOT (build, own, operate, transfer) basis for 35 years.
Project consists of 3 components -
A 350 km 765kV transmission corridor connecting the renewable energy zone of Fatehgarh III to the substation at Beawar.
Construction of a 3000 MVA 765/400kV Substation at Beawar and construction of two LILO lines, covering approx 120 kms.
Also includes Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM) system implementation at Fategarh III substation, making Sterlite the first private transmission infrastructure developer in the country to implement STATCOM.
