The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has reached a major milestone with its public market debut, and the development has also expanded the tradable securities available on the Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI).
Following NSE’s listing on the BSE on September 24, 2026, its equity shares are now available for trading on MSEI under the “Permitted to Trade” category. The move adds one of India’s most prominent market infrastructure institutions to MSEI’s Capital Market Segment and further strengthens MSEI’s role in India’s evolving capital-market ecosystem.
NSE Shares Begin Trading on MSEI
MSEI admitted NSE equity shares for trading effective September 24, 2026, following a circular issued by the exchange on September 23.
The shares are admitted under the “Permitted to Trade” category on MSEI’s Capital Market Segment. Under this framework, securities can be available for trading on the exchange without entering into a listing agreement with MSEI and, consequently, without being subject to the full disclosure requirements applicable to securities formally listed on the exchange.
The NSE security is available on MSEI with the symbol NSE, with a market lot of one share and ISIN INE721I01024, according to MSEI’s circular.
